Natixis is committed to humanitarian sponsorship in order to take concrete action and transmit its values of solidarity and responsibility.
Since 2004, this commitment has been expressed through its action in the fight against malaria with the aim of contributing to the economic and social development of countries and populations affected by this disease. Present in numerous countries via its subsidiaries, Natixis is particularly sensitive to the worldwide scope of this scourge.
Malaria, a forgotten disease that is avoidable, continues to devastate populations.
It is the most serious and the most widespread of tropical parasitic diseases, responsible for over one million deaths each year, the immense majority of them being children under 5 living in sub-Saharan Africa.

The humanitarian sponsorship actions undertaken by Natixis:
- Financing of projects aimed at protecting the most vulnerable populations, with information and mosquito net distribution programmes, notably implemented by the NGO Plan France in Cameroon and Burkina Faso.
- Participation in the World Malaria Day events on 25 April each year, with campaigns to raise the awareness of the general public.
- Support for research programmes undertaken by the International Network of Instituts Pasteur and the Development Research Institute.
In 2007, Natixis joined the French Coalition to Fight Malaria, whose objective is to coordinate the initiatives of public institutions, NGOs, research institutes and companies.
