Internship at Natixis
Pham, an intern talks to you about his background at Natixis
Pham, a recent graduate of Université Lumières Lyon 2, received a Master Finance degree in “Financial Market Transactions Management” and was recruited to the Financial Markets Back Office
After receiving my bachelor’s level degree (licence) in International Affairs, I pursued graduatelevel studies through a Master Finance degree in “Capital Market Transactions Management” at Université Lumière Lyon 2; this unique Masters degree in France prepares students for the businesses involving the processing, control and organization of financial market operations (Back Office, Middle Office and risk analysis).
Thanks to this very dynamic education and a network of sustained partnerships over several years, I was able to gain my first work experience here at Natixis’ Collateral Management Back Office, which manages counterparty risk.
The eight-month internship enabled me to join the professional environment of a large investment bank, be in contact with the experts in the field, strengthen my knowledge of financial products and the various finance business lines, and, most importantly, become aware of the importance of the financial market support business lines. Each start is a challenge, but I have had the good fortune of being able to join a team where communication and mutual support are the norm.
Toward the end of my internship, my manager offered me a permanent employment contract for the same position I was already in, which I eagerly accepted. So far, my job is going great, I have a wide variety of assignments that involve significant challenges, and the company offers me numerous opportunities to further my knowledge through various training programs. I do not regret my decision in any way, because I know that I can always continue to advance my career at Natixis, and for me this is only the start of a long adventure.
