Incorporation of social and environmental criteria in our purchases

Une politique d'achats responsables

Since 2017, the Purchasing department of Natixis has joined the Purchasing department of BPCE and reflections on responsible purchasing are shared: The socially responsible purchasing policy constitutes a strategic and operational lever for the implementation of the CSR policy of BPCE and Natixis . The main objective of this policy is to promote products and services that are more respectful of the environment, providing guarantees and added value, at social and societal levels.

Through this purchasing policy, broader objectives are also pursued:

  •  assess our suppliers on the challenges of social and environmental responsibility linked to their products, services or industries;
  • promote official eco-labels and eco-designed products;
  • encourage suppliers to be more transparent in describing the characteristics of their products.

In 2017, Natixis took part in the joint initiative of French players in the Banking and Insurance sector and signed the Responsible Purchasing Charter.

The objective is to involve the suppliers of the signatory banks in the implementation of vigilance measures as part of their CSR initiatives. This charter sets out a set of commitments which both parties must respect and which are based in particular on the fundamental principles of the United Nations Global Compact, in the field of human rights, working conditions, the environment, the fight against corruption
